The Jenny Miles

Sunday was my last day... Well morning in Vancouver with Monica. We visited her church The Village, it was amazing. Such a good sermon by such a young pastor, it was very inspiring to hear! He talked about actually knowing God, as in knowing Jesus and not just feeling like a Christian but actually KNOWING it. It was a really powerful message, I really enjoyed it :)

Then Monica and I packed up our rain gear and headed off to a shared a picnic at White Rock beach (where we also awaited Jenny to pick me up!)

The picnic was awesome and it was so nice to get to meet several people :)

Then the village church had a baptism of over 40 people in the ocean. I loved that it was so beautiful to see so many people of all ages to do such a public baptism, and it was in such a gorgeous location with several hundred people from the church and their families out to witness. It was great!

THEN SHE arrived. Yes, SHE is the one and only miss Jenny!!!!!!!!!

And we drove about an hour and a half east to Harrison where my beautiful friend treated us to a night in the gorgeous Harrison hotel and spa resort. They had hot springs in the freakin backyard! Such a gorgeous hotel!

Weekly like royalty in our waffle fabric bleached white bath robes which evyone wore everywhere lol. We even picked up a posh British accent for a while!

The view from our room was spectacular!
Just more Beautiful British Columbia,

This shot was from this morning when an amazing fog was rolling through the valley. There was a cloud literally hovering in the. Middle of the lake!

Isn't this lake just GORGEOUS!
It was so secluded and private. Just beautiful! Alot of couple around :p

Last night we ate at the hungry chef, the food was amazing!

Then we got on the road again this morning around 11 decided we would head o Kelowna and surprise my Aunty Niki and Uncle Bruce they think I'm coming on Wednesday!

So we were all sneaky and called ahead to KCS office to ask if they were in today and if there was students, we were happy to discover that it was teachers only and they were cleaning and finishing up everything so we thought awesome we can make this work! Be there around 2 it will be awesome they won't see it coming!

So Jen and I were loving the BC outback, we had music blasting were playing tunnel games (we made different sounds for every tunnel.... Usually pretty awful sounds lol) We saw a mama deer and her 2 babies! That was so exciting but I didn't get a photo! We cruised along the Fraser then eventually the Thompson rivers and just kept going on strong. It was beautiful! And we were making good time!

Then we decided to check the map and figure out how far along we were (neither of us had smart phones with GPS lol....) by the time I figured it out............

My pinky indicates where we were. My index finger shows where we needed to be. Easily a hours drive out of the way!! We went waaaaayyyyy to far north! Lol we laughed pretty hard.........

But on this journey which ended up taking an extra 2 hours, we saw the mama deer and her two babies, we saw an eagle. This eagle was gorgeous and it wasn't like in the air flying around, he was sitting on the fence post along the highway! I could look right into his eyes as we drove past! Wouldn't have been more than 5 meters away! He was such a gorgeous color, like a deep auburn red brown, with a Snow White head and golden yellow beak. I've never seen an eagle so close before! gorgeous!

Then we turned around a valley (also spotted on our detour) and I was watching two dark brown horses in a field and thinking "man, those are weird lumpy looking horses...." Then I realised and screamed out "MOOSE!" I can't believe how much wildlife we saw today! We have 4 hours of driving tomorrow so hopefully we will get lucky again and I'll be able to take photos! And hopefully there will be a bear!

So we got back on track and were only on the road maybe another hour when bam i look out the window and recognise my beautiful Okanagan Valley. It took me by such a surprise I teared up a little bit!

There she is! My first glance of home :)

So we get to KCS high school campus and begin to look around for Uncle Bruce's room, and we run into janitors that don't speak any English lol but a very nice secretary lady came to our rescue and even helped in the surprise! UB had unfortunately left for the day but she called their cellphone and told them they forgot a very important package here lol and that it was 5 foot something.... Lol and Aunty niki still didn't get it! Not until I was on the phone! It was great she was so surprised!

So we made plans to meet for dinner at Boston pizza, and in the little time filling time that we had, jen took me to the mall to a store where they were having a moccasins shoe sale! And I got my moccasins! YAAAAYYYY!!!!!!

Then we went for dinner and I teared up again at seeing them!  Shared a great white north pizza (YUM!) and took the left overs home for jens and mines roadie tomorrow! We are off to revelstoke! That should be super fun!

And after an amazing meal and the waiter tired of waiting for us to leave and started to ignore us (didn't even offer any more water!) lol we parted ways until Wednesday and Jenny and I stopped for Dairy Queen on the way home! I got a good ol fashioned Canadian flavour of s'mores blizzard lol soooo good :)

Now I am at Jenny's and soooo ready for bed!

Good night all :)
