From Swartz to Tsawwassen Bay

Us Canadians may think that NZ may have funny words but Canada has just as funny of names for places! We caught the ferry from Swartz bay to Tsawwassen Bay lol look at those words!

Anyway so we started the morning going to a diner for breakfast and it was a super sunshiny place called Coras, their menu was very.... Fruity.... He he he. Literally everything item was filled with a verity of fruits on your crepes, brioche, pancakes, etc. it was a really beautiful menu!

Then we wandered through Victoria looking at all the markets that were happening! Finally it was so beautiful and sunny enough to take some spectacular photos :)

So above was photos of the Empress hotel, waterfront and Parliament building. 

Then we stopped by the coat of arms for all the provinces! That was cool to see them all :)

And of course the ferry ride back. Mon and I bumped into the captain guy (we think) and he told us that they had a spectacular day so far seeing dozens of whales! He told us "if you think you're seeing a whale you probably are, that's how many there are out there!" So of course we got very excited and had our cameras at the ready to take thousands of photos of whales! 

That's a lot of water..... But no whales!

Still no whales... But a lot of beautiful British Columbia!

*gasp! It's an otter!! I saw 3 otters one was right below our boat and just looking up at us but it caught me so off guard I didn't get a photo of him! So I may not have seen any whales but I saw 3 otters and that was totally worth it! Any wild life is wild life and I love seeing it!

We went grocery shopping and the prices are pretty much the same as nz, I did notice that fruit and vegetables are about twice as expensive though which is really unfortunate! But at the same time as being twice as much each piece of fruit or veg is at least twice the size! Capsicums the size of my face and cucumbers that are twice as long lol. What do they do to the fruit and veg here!?

Then this evening Tiffany came over and we had a good old fashioned sleepover! It was so much fun and so great to catch up with her :) Can't wait for tomorrow! In the morning we are making either waffles or pancakes :)
